A female NCO from Unit 8200, identified only as V., was awarded a certificate of appreciation by IDF Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir. Before October 7 she warned that Hamas was ready to launch a large scale surprise attack.
IDF Chief of Staff Zamir: "V. is a clear example of intellectual courage and professionalism. In our organizational culture we must not allow appeasing discourse, intellectual tyranny or the suppression of critical thinking. We as commanders must make sure we demand freedom of expression from our people as an essential element of our operational culture and our frameworks."
