A second oil tanker is on fire near the eastern Strait of Hormuz, according to Iranian state-linked media. Naval patrols found the vessel burning inside a restricted zone.
Iran's Army Navy calls it a "violating" tanker, claiming it had disabled its tracking systems while crossing a restricted area of the Gulf of Oman without authorization.
Tehran again insisted that its Navy and the Revolutionary Guard hold control over the Strait of Hormuz.
