According to @BarakRavid of Axios, citing a U.S. official, U.S. Vice President JD Vance sent a letter to Iran’s principal national security decision-maker to ram home the importance of the nuclear file being included in any discussions between the two belligerents of the currently lukewarm conflict.
This comes as the U.S. maintains that the nuclear file must be included in any negotiations, as the negotiations are also likely centered on the administration of the Strait of Hormuz, U.S. economic coercive measures against Iran, and the ongoing blockade of vessels traveling to and from Iran, key points that Iran has yet to publicly budge on.
