According to Reuters, citing both Western and Middle Eastern officials, Saudi Arabia is planning a renewed offensive aimed at walking back recent Houthi gains that culminated in Houthi control of key areas adjacent to the Bab al-Mandeb Strait. Per the report, Saudi Arabia would not participate directly in a potential ground offensive but would instead provide close air support, enabled by embedded JTACs and FOs on the ground with Yemeni government/Yemeni government-aligned forces.
