According to the UK’s MET Police, two men were arrested on suspicion of trespassing on a prohibited site, with reports stating that the two men, who were Latvian, were then rearrested “on suspicion of an offence under the National Security Act 2023 - namely “entering a prohibited place for a purpose prejudicial to the UK,” per Internazionale. The incident reportedly took place near RAF Molesworth. UK Counterterrorism Police are investigating the incident, but at the time of writing, authorities have said that in spite of heightened security measures at bases across the nation, the incident does not appear to be connected to prior threats against said bases.

RAF Molesworth is a base under command of the U.S. Armed Forces and among other things, is home to a number of DIA, NATO, and jointly run intelligence directorates and fusion centers.
