Analyst Comment:
The previous Yemeni government offensive, the gains of which were quickly reversed by Houthi counterattacks in the south, suffered from severely lacking coordination between Saudi airpower and government ground elements, half-strength units, and the intelligence support provided to the Houthis by Iran/Russia. While the U.S. has yet to get directly involved, it’s expected that the Saudis would still continue to have the intelligence support provided thus far in any upcoming offensive action.
