Boeing will supply the Israeli Air Force with 12 AH-64E Apache helicopters under a deal signed with the United States, the Israeli Defense Ministry announced. Deliveries begin at the start of the 2030s.
The signing followed this morning's government approval of a one billion shekel transfer to the Defense Ministry for the procurement. The ministry says the aircraft will be the "Echo" variant, the newest and most advanced Apache model.
Defense Minister Israel Katz:
"A critical step in the IDF's force buildup, one that will strengthen its operational capabilities against a wide range of threats and contribute to the security of the State of Israel in the years to come."
