BREAKING: ✈️ A flydubai flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv has triggered a major security incident after briefly squawking 7500, the international transponder code for unlawful interference, before switching back to 7700, indicating a general emergency.

The aircraft began descending manually and turned back toward Israel while still over Saudi Arabian airspace. Israeli Air Force jets were reportedly scrambled, and Israeli authorities are holding emergency consultations with senior security officials.

The aircraft, carrying more than 100 passengers, now went out of coverage on flight-tracking platforms near Tabuk, Saudi Arabia, at around 5,000 feet, while squawking 7700.

Israeli reports say the aircraft is currently not permitted to land in Israel.

The 7500 code does not by itself confirm a hijacking, and there is currently no confirmed information about what is happening on board.

The situation remains developing.
