BREAKING: Estonia is now the latest country hit by a cyberattack targeting supermarket refrigeration systems, following incidents reported this morning in Belgium, Sweden, and Luxembourg.

Hackers reportedly accessed the control system of a large supermarket chain and remotely raised a freezer's temperature to +50°C.

According to Kitman Coldtech CEO Jann Mutso, several clients in Estonia have been targeted. The attack exploited vulnerabilities in older refrigeration controllers.

The incident was detected and addressed within approximately 10 minutes, preventing major damage.

Major Estonian supermarket chains reportedly using the affected technology include Selver, Rimi, Coop, and Lidl.
