BREAKING: 🇲🇩 Russian drone manufacturer Alabuga is reportedly being promoted to schoolchildren in Moldova’s Gagauzia region as an opportunity to receive free education and attractive salaries.
According to UNU TV, a representative at a local school presented ninth-grade students with the opportunity to study and work in Russia, promising financial opportunities and assistance with paperwork.
The concern is that Alabuga, located in Russia’s Tatarstan region, is linked to the production of Geran drones used by Russian forces against Ukraine.
Moldova’s Ministry of Education has strongly condemned the promotion of such programs in schools, warning that offers targeting minors could expose them to manipulation and exploitation. The ministry also reminded teachers that militaristic propaganda is prohibited in the educational process.
The Alabuga recruitment initiative offers young people from abroad education, accommodation and paid work.
