BREAKING: 🇱🇹 Two men suspected of attempting to set fire to Starlink equipment in Vilnius, Lithuania, have been arrested in Germany, Lithuanian authorities announced.

The suspects, both in their 20s, hold dual German citizenship alongside Turkish and Serbian citizenship, respectively. Investigators believe they travelled to Lithuania shortly before the attempted arson and left immediately afterwards.

Lithuanian investigators say the operation was premeditated and suspect the men were also linked to attacks targeting Starlink equipment in Poland and Bulgaria. They are not believed to have personally carried out the Polish arson, but investigators suspect their involvement.

The men face serious terrorism-related suspicions, including forming or participating in a terrorist group and committing terrorist acts. The most severe penalty for forming or participating in such a group in Lithuania is 10–15 years in prison.

The attempted arson targeted premises belonging to Lithuanian company Delska, where SpaceX operates and stores Starlink equipment. Lithuanian politicians have linked the incident to Russia.

Authorities in Lithuania are cooperating with counterparts in Germany, Poland and Bulgaria. A decision on whether the two suspects will be transferred to Lithuania has not yet been announced.
