CENTCOM has rejected a claim by the IRGC navy commander that the Strait of Hormuz is under Iranian control and that any approaching U.S. warships would be sunk.
According to CENTCOM, the commander has no navy, and the strait is controlled by American forces and regional partners. U.S. forces helped Gulf partners move more than 19 million barrels of crude through the waterway yesterday.
