Early in the war what kept the ships from transiting the Starit was:
1️⃣The need to obtain additional war risk to meet the greater threat; which was accomplished within the first week
2️⃣The need for security after the initial attacks by Iran damaged and killed mariners
3️⃣The decision of the shipowners to be willing to risk their ships versus keeping their ships in place and waiting the situation to end.
Now, with the high transit costs and the states subsidizing the war risk for the shuttle operation, the operators need to provide crews with more than the standard danger pay.
