Egypt's Foreign Ministry: The Egyptian national caught inside Israel overnight has been "missing" since July and is "psychologically unstable."
IDF initial probe: Soldiers monitoring surveillance cameras saw him cross the fence near Nitzana at around 1:45 a.m. He stayed under continuous watch the entire time.
Troops detained him roughly 2 km from the fence, "in an area far from communities and IDF bases." The Shin Bet is now questioning him.
The IDF views the incident "gravely."
