Following a number of reported explosions in the vicinity of Iran’s Qeshm Island, local reports are now saying that Iran has again launched missiles into the strait. Likely against commercial shipping. While it’s yet unclear whether the U.S. is actively responding, recent attacks by Iran come against the backdrop of ongoing renewed negotiations processes between the U.S. and Iran, largely centered on the administration of the strategic maritime choke point.
