In a Truth Social post, President Trump condemned Iran's treatment of protesters and accused the regime of fabricating reports of attacks and mines in the Strait of Hormuz.
According to Trump, Tehran is deliberately creating threats to shipping through the strait. He believes the goal is to push oil prices higher ahead of the U.S. midterm elections.
He restated his position:
"IRAN CAN NEVER HAVE A NUCLEAR WEAPON, AND THEY WILL NEVER HAVE A NUCLEAR WEAPON!"
