In his announcement of full military operations, Yemen’s President Rashad al Alimi vowed to retake all remaining Houthi controlled territory and restore government authority nationwide.
Al Alimi laid out rules for the offensive: no tribalism, vengeance, sectarianism or attacks on civilians. Homes and private property are to be protected, while Yemenis living under Houthi control “are not the target.”
