INTERESTING: A New York Times report on secret Iranian chemical weapons programs is probably correct, according to Trita Parsi, the Iranian lobbyist based in Washington.
Speaking to Mario Nawfal, Parsi called it plausible that Iran has some covert chemical programs. He cited two factors. Iran was a victim of chemical attacks during the Iran-Iraq War. It has also been attacked by two nuclear-armed states.
Separately, Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei recently ordered that a threat of any level or type must be met with an immediate, impactful and geographically unrestricted response. Iran's armed forces will determine the timing and conditions for ending any new attacks.
