Israel's Prime Minister's Office says the circumstances of the confrontation near Abu Falah, in which Washington Post photojournalist Heidi Levine was allegedly assaulted, are still unclear and under investigation.
The office condemned violence against Jews, Arabs, Christians and journalists, and said those responsible would be held accountable. It added that the investigation must determine who started the violence, and that disputed incidents will not be used to demonize Jewish residents of Judea and Samaria.
