Israeli Defense Minister Gantz at the government meeting:
"The IDF is preparing for a scenario in which there will be an escalation of violence by the Palestinian Authority and affiliated organizations against settlers and IDF forces in Judea and Samaria and along the separation barrier.
In such a case, war will be declared against the Palestinian Authority, and the IDF will launch a comprehensive offensive in accordance with a well-defined plan that has been formulated and approved by Prime Minister Netanyahu.
There will not be an intifada that lasts for years, as in the past, but rather a short and intense war with a clear outcome and a change in reality."
