π MORNING WATCH | OCTOBER 19
A deadly missile strike on a Yemeni training camp and another Russian attack that has left hundreds of thousands of Ukrainian households without power. Two major things this morning.
πΎπͺ YEMEN β SHABWA
The Houthis have acknowledged striking the al-Alam military training camp. Local authorities report at least 53 killed and 200 injured, many of them recruits from a newly formed government force.
Officials say three ballistic missiles hit the camp.
πΊπ¦ UKRAINE β ENERGY AND INTELLIGENCE
Kyiv says Russia launched 16 ballistic missiles and more than 200 drones overnight, damaging over 10 energy facilities and leaving at least 550,000 households without electricity. Three deaths were reported.
Zelensky says partners gave no advance warning before the ballistic strikes. Ukraine's air force clarifies that warning was missing for the first wave but arrived before a second.
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio denies any pause in intelligence sharing. The reason for the missing first warning remains unclear.
