Netanyahu says Israel will expand its naval capabilities as maritime threats grow from the Strait of Hormuz and Bab al Mandeb to the Mediterranean.
“A 6th submarine has arrived in the country. They want more,” Netanyahu said during a visit to the Ashdod naval base, adding that Israel intends to become “one of the leaders in the world” in surface and underwater warfare.
“We will protect the State of Israel also from the sea.”
