NEW: 🇵🇱 A roughly two-metre-long object resembling a drone has been found partially buried in the sand on a beach in Karwia, northern Poland.
Police were alerted around 6:20 PM by a passerby who discovered the object. Bomb disposal specialists, the military, Poland’s Internal Security Agency (ABW), Military Counterintelligence Service (SKW) and police counterterrorism officers were deployed to the scene.
Poland’s Military Gendarmerie is investigating the discovery under the supervision of a military prosecutor in Gdańsk.
According to RMF FM journalist Krzysztof Zasada, initial indications suggest the object may be a Polish military aircraft, but this has not been officially confirmed.
