NEW | 🇵🇰 Fresh fighting has erupted along the Afghanistan–Pakistan border, with artillery and heavy weapons reportedly used in the Kurram–Paktia area.
Pakistani security sources say their forces targeted Taliban positions near Taida and Ghozgarhi after coming under cross-border fire. They claim several Taliban positions were destroyed and fighters killed, but those claims remain unverified.
Across the border, Afghan media report fighting around Dand Patan and Zazi Aryob in Paktia province.
Local residents say Pakistani artillery fire reached residential areas, leaving some families trapped in their homes while others fled.
