NEW | 🇸🇦 🇾🇪 HOUTHI FORCES REPORTEDLY ENCIRCLE TAIZ
Houthi forces have reportedly completed the encirclement of Taiz following the capture of al-Misrakh district, approximately 13 kilometers south of the city.
The latest advance appears to consolidate Houthi control over territory south of Taiz, threatening the remaining routes connecting the city to government-held areas and Aden.
Fighting has intensified around the city, with Yemeni government military sources reporting that all exits are now blocked.
The situation is becoming increasingly serious for both government-aligned forces defending Taiz and the civilian population. Disrupted supply routes are placing additional pressure on access to fuel, medicines and other essential goods.
Taiz has not fallen. Government-aligned forces continue to hold the city, but the reported encirclement could significantly complicate their ability to sustain its defense.
