NEW | Libya’s oil disruption has now spread from the Sharara field into refining operations at Zawiya.

The National Oil Corporation says armed groups linked to the Petroleum Facilities Guard have kept Valve 7 on the Sharara–Zawiya crude pipeline closed since September 21, cutting the flow of crude north and forcing Sharara production lower.

NOC now says it has shut one refining unit at the Zawiya refinery because of the continued loss of feedstock. The disruption has cost Sharara an estimated 942,376 barrels of production over five days, worth roughly $95 million.
