NEW | Miami is becoming the next stop in the Ukraine talks.

Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner are due to meet a senior Ukrainian delegation on Friday, with the aim of putting together a more unified proposal after the latest U.S. contacts with both Kyiv and Moscow. Reuters says Budanov, Umerov and Arakhamia are expected to attend, alongside U.S. national-security and Treasury officials.

The Europeans are being brought in too: security advisers from the UK, France and Germany, plus NATO and EU officials, have been invited. Zelensky says the talks will run Friday and Saturday, with air defence still one of Kyiv’s main priorities.

The agenda is starting to look more concrete security guarantees, a post-war economic plan and ideas developed during recent U.S. talks with both sides. But most of those details still come from one U.S. source familiar with the preparations, so I’d wait for the actual readout before treating them as agreed negotiating positions.

And Moscow is already putting limits around the process.

Peskov says Russia agrees the war is in a stalemate but sees no immediate prospect of a Putin–Trump–Zelensky summit and is still rejecting limited or temporary ceasefires in favour of what it calls a comprehensive settlement.
