NEW | UKRAINE 🇺🇦 | KYIV UNDER BALLISTIC ATTACK
President Zelensky says Russian ballistic missiles have struck Kyiv's TEC-4 thermal power plant, one of the capital's major energy facilities.
A residential building was also damaged, with firefighters responding to a blaze.
According to Zelensky, Ukraine received no advance warning from its partners. Ukrainian detection systems reportedly identified the incoming missiles only as they approached the capital.
He also warns, citing Ukrainian intelligence, that Russia is preparing further ballistic missile launches.
The reported strike comes just two days after Donald Trump announced an immediate energy ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine an arrangement that has never been publicly confirmed as operational by both sides.
Kyiv says it has refrained from attacking Russian energy facilities since Trump's announcement, while Moscow has continued striking Ukrainian infrastructure.
