NEW | 🇺🇸 🇮🇷 US Central Command has plans for possible strikes on Iran as early as November 4, immediately after the midterm elections.
That doesn't mean Trump has authorized a new military campaign. Washington is still weighing military action, continued economic pressure and a diplomatic agreement.
Separately, Israel has shared intelligence with Washington and Gulf governments suggesting Iran may be considering the use of chemical weapons.
Some US officials take the warning seriously, while others question its credibility or see it as an attempt to persuade Washington to resume major combat operations. Gulf officials have also expressed skepticism.
