Polish Foreign Minister Sikorski on Ukraine:
American negotiators assume the war is only about territory, and that Putin could save face and end it if Ukraine gives up the last two cities in Donbas. Sikorski calls that a mistake.
"There might be some kind of pause. But the Soviet Union minus Ukraine is Russia without great-power status.
To be a global superpower, Russia needs Ukraine."
