PRELIMINARY:
Israeli authorities are investigating the FlyDubai incident as a suspected terrorist attack.
The initial assessment is that the Omani co-pilot may have acted alone, with no established evidence at this stage that Iran directed the incident.
Investigators are also examining whether the pilot intended to target a site inside Israel as the attack happened on the approach towards Israel. That scenario has not been confirmed.
Passengers and members of the crew subdued the co-pilot, preventing the situation from becoming a mass casualty event.
