Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of Yemen's Presidential Leadership Council, on Operation "Yemen Dawn":
The operation came after every opportunity for calm with the Houthi militias was exhausted. Its aim is to stop any group from threatening the security of Yemen's neighbors and international shipping lines.
Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia hit airports and civilian facilities and extended to Mecca and Medina, crossing every red line.
Operations will continue to protect Taiz and open its roads.
