Romania’s Ministry of National Defence has confirmed that two drones entered Romanian airspace:
The first drone left Romanian airspace towards Ukraine and, according to information obtained by us, was subsequently shot down by Ukrainian air defence.
The second drone disappeared from radar in the area between Vaslui and Bacău counties ( It likely crashed, but no impact has been officially reported so far fortunately, this suggests it may not have fallen in a populated area)
The Minister of Defence’s statement regarding the second drone was diplomatic, as expected, as its final whereabouts remain unknown and no crash has been officially confirmed. We will likely know more tomorrow morning, if further information becomes available about where it came down.
