Satellite imagery of a new China-Laos military facility at Ban Keun, near Vientiane, shows eight K-8 light attack and training jets along with more than two dozen military vehicles, Reuters reports. The runway appears built for expansion, which could allow larger Chinese surveillance and intelligence aircraft to operate from the site. It would mark China's first full-scale military base in Southeast Asia.
