Earlier today, two illegal super tankers that attempted to pass through the unauthorized southern route of the Strait of Hormuz were stopped in their tracks after hitting a naval mine. Their engine rooms were disabled after an explosion and a severe fire.
These tankers were carrying a total of more than 4.5 million barrels of crude oil, which were abandoned on the southern coast of the Strait of Hormuz after hitting a naval mine and the ship's crew abandoned it.
