The UK is evacuating a British healthcare worker infected with Ebola from the Democratic Republic of the Congo on a chartered medical flight.
The patient is a volunteer sent by a humanitarian organization to help with the epidemic response. Their condition is stable. It is the first confirmed case of a British national catching the virus in this outbreak.
UKHSA and the Foreign Office: Risk to the British public remains low.
The DRC outbreak has passed 10,500 confirmed cases and 5,100 deaths.
