The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) Center reports that a tanker was struck by multiple projectiles 51 nautical miles north of Madinat ash Shamal, Qatar, within the last 2 hours. There are casualties reported.
If Iran is responsible, it would be the first Iranian strike on shipping away from the Strait of Hormuz since September 8th–9th, when the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed attacks on tankers in the Persian Gulf after U.S. strikes on five Iranian oil tankers.
