Trump: He and Netanyahu agreed the U.S. will stop transferring $4 billion a year to Israel.
The aid comes from the U.S.-Israel memorandum of understanding signed in September 2016 under Obama. It guarantees $38 billion from 2019 to 2028. Each year, $3.3 billion goes to military funding and $500 million to joint missile defense programs.
Netanyahu told The Economist in January that he raised gradually reducing military aid with Trump at Mar-a-Lago in December.
