UPDATE: A Danish food producer was targeted in a cyberattack last night, according to Jeppe Engell, chief consultant at the Confederation of Danish Industry.

The attack targeted the company's refrigeration and freezing systems but was detected and stopped before causing any damage.

Additional security measures have been introduced, and the company has decided to purchase new equipment to prevent future attacks.

This brings the total to 8 countries reporting incidents linked to the European refrigeration cyberattacks. However, the full scale remains unclear, as more affected companies may not have come forward or issued public statements yet.

The Danish company has not been publicly identified and is not a supermarket.
