UPDATE | 🇪🇬🇸🇦 Egypt's parliament has postponed its decision on possible military assistance to Saudi Arabia until Monday, October 19.
Sunday's emergency session was adjourned to allow further debate. The discussions reportedly did not address the specific form of military assistance Egypt might provide.
President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi has pledged to help defend Saudi Arabia against Houthi attacks if Riyadh requests support.
Egypt's National Defense Council has already endorsed providing all necessary assistance, but parliamentary authorization remains pending.
