UPDATE | The FAA is now warning U.S. airlines about risks across Saudi Arabia's entire Jeddah Flight Information Region.
The new advisory, NOTAM A0056/26, cites ongoing military activity and GNSS interference. It covers all altitudes, including flights simply passing through Saudi airspace.
This isn't a flight ban. But it does mean Washington is formally warning American operators about risks well beyond the airports being attacked.
The notice took effect at 21:00 UTC today and runs until December 10.
Meanwhile, Reuters reports that Riyadh's King Khalid International Airport will remain closed until at least Monday evening.
European aviation authorities had already raised their warnings. Now the FAA has added its own.
And I'd keep the GNSS issue separate from attribution to the Houthis. The advisory identifies a navigation risk, not who's causing every reported interference.
The next thing to watch is whether this remains an advisory or turns into actual flight restrictions.
